Down Wookey Hole way...one unlucky Christmas day, Santa spied that his mouse was running away....
Out of his pocket, where his suit was worn,
The mouse had slipped out through a hole that was torn !
He followed his mouse through the Wookey wood,
Hot in pursuit, as fast as he could !
He nearly got stuck in the Wookey mud...
But Rudolph pulled him free, as all good reindeers should !
The mouse head beneath a Wookey Christmas tree...
Looking for nibbles to eat for his tea
Up hill and down dale, the naughty mouse left a wobbly trail ...
All along the Wookey forest floor,
Of crumbs lined up Wookily, by the score !
Like a Red Indian, Santa tracked behind,
Trying to see if his mouse, he could find....
Making his way back to the North Pole,
Santa's mouse head off down a Wookey hole.....
(to get away from the squirrel whose acorns he stole !)
Santa noticed inside, there was a spider,
He tried to take a look,
But unfortunately he was wider !
It was no good at all, he was stuck like a ball,
Chasing his mouse only three inches tall !
He huffed and puffed with all his might...
But Santa's belly was too tight to alight !
The wise, old owl had a brilliant idea...Santa must have a different suit to wear and ....
To make a chain and pull him out of there !
All of the gnomes lined up as one...
My word, Santa weighed an absolute ton !
It must have been that extra currant bun...
That made Santa put a pound or two on !
