Santa's Christmas Prayer

One Christmas, Santa prayed,

For everything on a list he'd made....

"Bless this grotto house," he said,

I pray i don't get a suit again in red !

"Bless the chimney and even the mouse !....Hope I get to eat a grouse !

Bless the Christmas tree that it won't fall down or so ...bless the Christmastown winds that always blow.....

Bless the gnomes don't wreck our home,

I pray i don't get more shaving foam !

Bless the cat and I pray that her fur,

Won't get everywhere...or she snores when she purrs !

Bless Rudolph, help him know the way-

Back home in time for Christmas day ...

Bless the Christmas sack and sleigh,

I hope it keeps on track and knows the way !

Bless the gifts for everyone...

I hope they're pleased and all have fun !

Bless the pots and pans and dishes...

I pray Rudolph remembers to do the dishes !

But more than this, Santa's biggest dream...

Was for a world of peace, heavenly bliss (oh yes - and ice - cream !)

Santa hoped all his wishes would come true...

Even if you're Santa, you say a Christmas prayer or two !
