Santa and the Lazy Snail

Santa advertised for some help in the news...

He held an interview at the grotto to see who to choose....

There was a frog who couldn't leave the bog...

A hedgehog who couldn't stand any old dog....that's no good Santa thought....when he had so many doggy presents wrapped and bought...

Next in line was a butterfly...so fine...

Who couldn't read a single road sign...

In flew a honeybee who wanted to be....

One of Santa's helpers but didnt like temperatures of minus three...

A caterpillar was perhaps a great stocking - filler....

Till he ate a hole including the chiller...

The Christmas fairy said the goat, although he was hairy

Santa thought his horn a little bit scary !

It seemed there was no - one, Santa was about to give in...

When he looked on the floor and saw in a tin...

A juicy, fat slug crawling into the bin !

Great - that's it ! A slug would make the sleigh gleam...

Clean the bells and make sure the lights were clean...

The slug got the job...but Santa soon found he was a slob...and a few of the presents he did rob !

After a day or two wrapping gifts...

The slu got caught in an icy snowdrift

Santa was crazy - the slug was so lazy....

Sat on a daisy when he had presents for Maisy...
