Santa and the Great Christmas Race

The tortoise, Santa and the hare,

Joined in a sports day race...and soon zoomed off without a trace !

Gnomes were running all over the place...

But the quickest was the fairy, heading off on the chase !

Heading off towards the Moon...

In the craters, they played egg and spoon !

A sack race was Santa's favourite...

He liked to stomp up and down a bit !

He'd workedall year to get fit !

The robin's favourite was the hoola hoop....

He liked to fly in a loop - de - loop !

Over a hundred miles an hour....

Rudolph rocketed off with supersonic power...

Over the Chanel and the Eifel tower...

Santa puffed and his face began to glower !

Luckily Mrs Christmas had brought her jogging shoes...

The winner was in the local news !

Of course, the championship winner was the hare...who only ate carrots for dinner, i declare !

As the others ran past, guess who was last ?

Naturally it was the tortoise who needed a rocket blast !

As the hare was awarded the Championship cup,

Gradually the others began to catch up !

Santa passed the finishing line third,

It's because of all the lemon curd he'd eaten, I heard !
