Sally and Jilly the Silly Sidmouth Seagulls

Sally and Jilly were a really silly pair of gulls who flew around the Sidmouth ships...

Picking up the crumbs and pinching fish and chips !

They loved to sit on the harbour wall...waiting for the foghorn to sound its call...

Around the lighthouse, they flew about...

"Watch out for the boats !" the whales did shout !

The starfish thought it was the star of the show...

But it didn't fly as high as a kite, as you know !

Sally and Jilly flew high and then low...

Just missing the waves, they loudly did crow...

In the Sun, they annoyed everyone...

Stealing the fishermen's worms just

like thieves on the run.

It just so happened that one Christmas Day,

Santa came by the bay on his sleigh....

For a penny, he looked through the telescope...

Spotted an anchor and a buoy on a rope...

He threw the lifebelt out to sea...catching Sally and Jilly (with the robin that made three !)

In order to give Rudolph a bit of a rest....

Santa put the naughty seabirds to the test...

No more sleeping in the crow's nest...

Soon the sleigh was heading West...

Even though Northerly winds were blowing strong,

The seagulls pulled the sleigh along.....

I can see you're asking - "What about the sleigh bell ? Do tell..."

Yes you guessed, the seagulls rang that as well !
