Pierre the Frog's Ice Skate on the Pond

Around the pond, in Winter, it was awfully cold,

Even the pond skaters didn't like the icy water, or so I am told !

Pierre the frog went to take a dip....

But on three inches of ice, he skidded and began to slip !

Towards the trees....at minus a hundred degrees,

Pierre the frog started to sneeze !

He tried to stand up....but soon got fed up...his knees wobbled more than a cute doggy pup !

The ducks were no better....skidding about....

"Someone come and help me out !" they gave a shout...

Thinking he looked quite a dope...

The swan threw him a long, thick rope....

Pierre the frog just about caught it from a height...

Grasped a hold and grabbed it tight !

With froggy power, at a hundred miles an hour...

Pierre the frog started a tug of war...

The ducks joined in - their quacking was a din...

Everyone wanted Pierre the frog to win

Suddenly, the ice cracked and smashed

Into the icy water, everyone crashed

In a muddle, in a puddle...

Chilly and wet they began to huddle...

They soon warmed up ! With hot chocolate in a cup...they shared a biscuit and the ducks picked the crumbs up !
