Pierre the Frog's Camping Trip

Pierre the frog took a trip -

Off to the pond to take a dip...

Outside, the Sun was shining - it was 101 degrees....

Soon on flies he was dining, in water upto his knees !

He jumped into the water, off a lilypad,

It was cool and refreshing - ideal for a froggy lad !

With the ducks, he was soon splashing about...

There even was a fisherman, catching a trout...

He drank lemonade,

Ate a fly sandwich he made...

As well as the odd worm that he dug up with a spade !

By the side of the pond, he put up his tent...

A large oak leaf with a sign "up for rent !"

Making sure his campfire was spick and span,

Pierre grilled sausages in a pan...

He added some beans and a mushroom or two...

High above in the tree, the owl "twit twooooo !"

When night time came, the fireflies lit up the camp

There was even a song from a passing tramp....

"Keep the noise down !" the neighbours said....

All went swimmingly, when Pierre painted the park red !
