Phillip the Fillet of Fish

Phillip the fillet of fish had nowhere to go....

Stuck in the fish and chip shop, left him feeling low....

He longed to swim about like he'd seen in a magazine once, a picture of a trout !

Or even like a dolphin, leaping through the waves of the sea,

Free, that's all Phillip wanted to be !

One day Santa came in for something to eat...

Phillip complained that he had no feet !

And all he wanted was to sail away !

So Santa took Phillip on his sleigh...

Before long, they were flying through the clouds, so grey

Santa read from his spell book....

With a little bit of magic and a lot of luck,

A wave of the fairy's wand was all it took !

And SHAZAM ! WHALLOP ! WHAM !

Phillip jumped up and off he swam

Along the river, down the dam,

Phillip like a submarine swam !

It was incredible, just how fast,

Phillip the fish came swimming past...

Underwater, through the rocks,

He headed down to the canal locks !

Up and down....around and around....

Phillip swam without a sound !

Eventually, he ended up on a beach...

With plenty of ice - cream easily in reach !

He tucked into a vanilla ice- cream cone...

With chocolate sauce, of course,

Then decided to swim back home !
