Kevin the Kangeroo's New Shoes

Kevin the kangeroo had lost a shoe,

Where it went, nobody knew...

It must have been jumping over the fence...

A new pair would cost another sixpence....

He looked about, everywhere...

He looked here and he looked there...

Checked beneath the garden chair...

Wished he could afford a new pair

Off to the shop, Kevin did hop...

Saw a selection and waited for the prices to drop....

A pair of Wellington boots might match one of his suits he thought....

So a pair of size tens he bought !

When Kevin splashed in a puddle of water...

A fish jumped up and Kevin caught her !

Now they were wet, perhaps slippers would be a better bet....?

Especially if worn with the wooliest socks yet !

Kevin the kangeroo considered slip ons...

With bows on the front that kevin could clip on...

Next it was lace ups that he tried on....

A pair of pumps would be good for his jumps...

Even some high heels may come up trumps !

Some slippers ? Even flippers ?

Might look nice on his feet (which by now smelled like kippers !)

Unfortunately....none of them fit,

So Kevin on the wall, was left to sit....
