Kevin Kangeroo's Pocket Watch

When Kevin kangeroo wanted to tell the time....

He bought a pocket watch - though it didn't at all chime

He kept it in his kangeroo pouch...

He once fell down on it...Ow ! Ouch !

It rang out tick tock, tick tock !

Almost as loud as the Grandfather clock.....

Kevin kangeroo kept it in his pocket...

He checked it regularly then put the catch on to lock it !

Hour after hour, the arms span around....

One, two....eight, nine, ten...then to twelve and round again !

All of Kevin's jumping up and down...

Regularly heading off into town...

Meant the pocket watch soon broke down

When the kangeroo, sat on a rock to sleep...

He snored gently waiting for the alarm clock to bleep !

As the temperature at night suddenly dropped...

The pocket watch suddenly stopped...

Thinking it was his dicky ticker...

Kevin the kangeroo jumped up somewhat quicker !

It hadn't cost a lot...it only was cheap...

Hardly surprising, it fell down in a heap.

A spring sprang out...a cog fell off...

It didn't tick and completely switched off

With a screw loose, it was no use,

A broken pocket watch was really bad news !

Kevin had no insurance cover...

So when the watch caused him a bit of bother,

He bounced to the shop to buy another !
