Gerome the Gnome Meets Gino D'Acampo in a Spaghetti Muddle

Gerome the gnomes favourite was the Italian dish pasta...

He tried to eat it slower, but he could only eat it faster !

A good lasagne or even pizza...made his mouth water more than a gin n tonic mixer !

"Please, more cheese !" you heard him cry...

Though the extra calories made it hard for him to fly high !

"I'm so slow....the sleigh won't go...

My sleigh's stuck in the snow don't you know !"

Gerome found himself in a bit of a muddle...

He jumped out of the sleigh and landed in a puddle !

Gerome walked for over half a mile,

Through a field and over a style...

In a cottage in the distance, Gerome could see,

Fairy lights flashing daintily !

It was Gino D'Campo's cosy home....

Everyone was in the kitchen, not expecting a visit from a gnome...

Gerome the gnome knocked on the door,

Though he stood on the step, he was only two feet from the floor !!!

When Gino came outside to see who'd come to call,

He didn't spot the gnome, only two feet tall...

"Can i use your telephone and warm up by the fire ?" said Gerome, "It's minus one hundred and one degrees - I'm wearing the wrong attire !"

...."Come in, sit down, by the Christmas tree we got today in town"... Gino replied in surprise....Before very long, the gnome was tucking into a whole plate of sugary mince pies !!!

Gerome the gnome, who to be honest, was really quite rude,

Didn't care how much or when he'd come to intrude !

Is it time to go ??? Oh no ! Oh no !

It really is too cold in the snow...

Eventually, Gino asked him for tea....

The gnome accepted hungrily !

Gino prepared a real tasty treat - with hundreds of things likè pastry to eat !

The word on the street - his biscotti couldn't be beat...Gerome jumped up and stomped his feet !

I really should put in my pair of false teeth,

Said the gnome at the Aperitif...

Gerome the gnome and the others tucked in,

So there wasn't much left to go in the bin...

The antipasta was a delight,

The tiramisu was creamy and light...

The Yorkshire pud was so good, too,

They celebrated Christmas as everyone should do !

They finished off with a real tasty gin...

Gerome gave Gino a real full up grin !

A little espresso, sat in the chair,

Fantastico ! You could hear them declare !

Just then, Gerome began to remember...

It was already 26th of December !

Gerome threw his party hat down,

Thanked Gino and head off back into town...

Quickly, he delivered all the toys,

Along with Santa to the girls and boys !
