There was a crow in Esmerelda's house,
Which crowed all day (which kept awake the mouse !)
It crowed at breakfast, dinner and tea,
So loudly, it's voice got hoarse eventually !
It called from the rooftops and sat on the wall...
It crowed to the cat sleeping in the hall !
The cat meiouwed at the sight of the bird ...
The bird thought the cat was absurd then it purred...
You should really try a tweet ! You can tap onto the internet with your sharp, clawed feet !
Being a chatterbox, the crow didn't have a problem knowing what to say...
And before very long he was tweeting away....
He mentioned in passing the other day,
He had been chatting to the Christmas robin when he bobbed in to stay....
They shared a plate of bird seed and pecked a fruit or two....
They were still munching when Esmerelda came back at half past two !
Other birds from the garden came along
And tweeted their various twittering songs...
Gradually, the feathered chorus grew and grew
As bird after bird, in another one flew
A Sparrow tweeted about the cat...
Which was prowling somewhere listening to the chat !
Watch out for that devious fellow....
He warned...
And soon a plate of bird seed he adorned
The cat pounced, the plate bounced...
Off the starlings quickly flounced !
Social media is great like that...
Getting in touch with your friends (and avoiding the cat !)
