Esmeralda the Naughty witch,

Was, indeed prone to doing tricks ...

Trouble was, her magic back - fired,

Everyone longed for when she retired !

Esmeralda broke her wand, my oh my !

Casting spells, no - one could understand the reasons why !

She turned the dog into a cat,

Sat on her broomstick, with her crumpled hat !

Well how about that ? In flew a bat,

She turned it into a rat which soon got fat !

The naughty witch blew the washing off the line,

She stayed up late playing tricks till half past nine !

She flooded the kitchen so the pots and pans,

Floated down the path - that was one of her devious plans !

She turned the garden upside down....

So the birds ended up on the other side of town !

Esmeralda the Naughty witch always makes mischief,

When something disappears, she's the thief !

Esmeralda the Naughty witch turned the on and off switch,

So everyone thought there had been a computer glitch !

That naughty scoundrel, everyone agrees,

She's the one who blew the leaves off the trees !

She's the one who left the door ajar !

If something goes wrong, no - one has to look far !
