Billy the Billy Goat's Picnic

Billy the Billy Goat had had enough of chewing grass....

He wanted a turkey just like everyone else had for Christmas....

Or even a little bit of Christmas pud ...

Instead of grass covered in mud !

He thought about sandwiches - jam or ham ?

But when he looked into the cupboard all that was left was a tin of spam !

Even a joint of pork....

But Billy the Billy Goat didn't know how to use a knife and fork !

Some baked beans ... homegrown greens ...

Even perhaps some bacon, nice and lean !

Billy the Billy Goat tried them all,

Soon he was ten inches wider and three feet tall !

He tried to make it over the gate ...

But he'd forgotten how much he ate

He soon got stuck ...

Three men it took ... to get Billy the Billy Goat out of the muck !

The bull pulled from behind ....

The ewe went to see what rope she could find !

Together, they tugged with all their might....

It was no good - Billy was stuck tight !

They twisted left and turned right...

They wished he was seven pounds more light !

The bull came and gave Billy a kick...

Just like a catapult, he shot out quick !

As Billy the Billy Goat became unsealed,

He kneeled on a cowpat and zoomed across the field !

Last I heard, he landed on Mars,

A supersonic Billy Goat heading through the stars !
