Animal Picnic

The animals in the zoo were going for a picnic - it was to be the best of the year ... there were treats and lots of nice things to eat - and lots of bottles of beer. The date was set, the time as well ... and soon everything was ready. The animal picnic started at dawn and ended at noon - a tablecloth was laid on the lawn. Knives, forks and spoons were all there very soon. The tarts for starters were the first course, of course ... followed by a glass of juice for second course. The egg sandwiches were favourite (with the hens of course) though the ducks prefered cream quakers. There were jams and scones - that were soon all gone. Then crisps with a very loud "CRUNCH !" - it really was going to be a very special, animal picnic lunch. The piranhas liked fish ... that filled a big dish ... and the sharks liked chips on a plate. The cows liked milkshake - the cats as well - theirs was served on a saucer. The dog's bowl was full of doggy treats - so many savoury and sweet things to eat. The snails nibbled on a lettuce leaf ... the slugs ate a pellet or two. It really was no wonder, the animals didn't like being in the zoo. What a tasty way - to end the day. The animal picnic was the best in the world - the animals ate so much food - that soon their belly was full.
